Abstract

1,153,764. Watch cases. E. PIQUEREZ. May 30, 1967 [June 1, 1966; Aug. 12, 1966; April 3, 1967], No.24870/67. Heading G3T. In a waterlight watch case a packing ring 3 is disposed between a flat annular surface 4 on the glass 5 and a flat annular surface 2 on the middle 1, and locking means, such as a resilient ring 10 held partly in a groove 10 in the middle 1, engaged between the middle 1 and a peripheral surface 6 of the glass 5 which is at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the surface of the shoulder 4. Alternatively a part of the packing ring 4 may form the locking means, or the latter may comprise a soft metal setting, a threaded ring engaging threads on the middle, or a ring having outward projection engaging an inward projection on the middle. If the watch case is provided with a rotary bezel 81 this may be held axially in position by pressure applied by the glass 5 via an annular ring 84 and an annular spring 83.
