Abstract
1,133,625. Valves. PUBLICON A.G. 6 April, 1966 [7 Feb., 1966], No. 15389/66. Heading F2V. A multi-way valve e.g. a three-way rotarysliding valve for connecting the outlet of a hot and cold water mixing chamber to a bath or wash basin by pipes 5, 4, respectively, or to shut-off bath, has the moving closure member or valve casing passages 7, 8 of diameters which differ in dependence upon the quantity of water to be supplied. The hot and cold water supply pipes leading into the mixing chamber may each include an "on-off" valve; the latter and the-three-way valve may be enclosed in a common ornamental or protective cover of plastics material or chromium plated or polished metal. A four-way valve is provided when additional apparatus e.g. a bidet, is to be supplied with water; the valve may be disposed over the wash basin and the outlet therefor also serves as the valve operating handle.
