Abstract

1,133,163. Knitting. R. H. MARKS. 24 March, 1966, No. 13105/66. Headings D1C and D1K. A ruffled pile fabric is produced on a multifeed machine by feeding a base paper yarn 5 and a strand of paper 6 simultaneously at each feed to the needles such that the needles merely engage the edge portion of the strand and draw it into the loops formed by the base yarn. The strand assumes a somewhat ruffled effect presenting a pile surface on one face of the fabric as illustrated in Fig. 3.
