Abstract

1,130,662. Crushing machines. MASCHINENFABRIK KARL BRIEDEN & CO. 31 March, 1967 [4 April, 1966], No. 14892/67. Heading B2A. A crushing apparatus comprises a toothed roll co-operating with a facing crushing plate 20, Fig. 1. The roll is assembled from spiders 11, 12, Fig. 2, one spider 11 with teeth 13 being followed by two spiders 12 with teeth 14. The teeth are of different lengths, and offset relative to the roll shaft 10, with their leading edges 15 lying on a circle which is eccentric to the shaft axis. The crushing plate 20 has fins 21 and is articulated at 24 e.g. to springs 23. Since the crushing gap between the edge 15 and the plate 20 assumes larger and smaller values during rotation the larger pieces will slip into the gap during its momentary widening and be crushed while sufficiently re duced pieces pass through unaffected.
