Abstract

1,129,478. Mounting outboard motors. WESTERLY MARINE CONSTRUCTION Ltd. 15 Oct., 1965 [27 Nov., 1964], No. 48437/64. Heading B7V. An outboard motor 22 securely mounted on a trolley the side members 13 of which are supported by wheels, is housed in the inoperative position in a stern compartment 3 of a water craft and is movable on the trolley to the vertical operative position. Movement of the trolley and motor beyond this operative position is prevented by two sets of links 16, 17 pivotally connected together at 18 and fixed to pivot points 20 on the side walls of the stern compartment 3. Guiding surfaces for the pairs of trolley wheels are substantially horizontal and parallel over their greater length but as they approach the stern the lower surface curves away from the upper surface as at 11.
