Abstract

1,124,134. Mounting heating elements. NOBO FABRIKKER A.S. 11 Nov., 1965 [13 Nov., 1964], No. 47993/65. Heading H5H. A heating element is mounted by means of at least one hinged attachment device which pivots to accommodate thermal expansion of the element. The embodiment shows a convector heater having an apertured casing 1 within which a heating element 5 is mounted by means of a rigid bracket 9 near one end and a hinge 10 intermediate the rigid bracket and the other end. The hinge consists of a rectangular plate of metal two opposite edge portions of which are bent to provide pairs of tongues 11, 12, the tongues in each pair extending in opposite directions. The pairs of tongues extend through slots respectively in the element and the casing. In a modification, the rigid attachment is at the centre of the heating element and hinged attachments are provided on either side.
