Abstract

1,122,998. Resilient flooring. FORSHAGA A.B, 11 Oct., 1965 [9 Oct., 1964; 8 June, 1965], No. 43023/65. Headings E1B and E1W. Resilient flooring for, e.g., a gymnasium, comprises one or more corrugated sheets 3 arranged beneath an insulating layer 4' carrying the floor covering 6. Adjacent sheets 3 may be joined in situ and the insulating layer layed thereon afterwards, or the flooring may be formed from pre-fabricated sections, e.g. 28 and 29, as shown. The flooring is laid on a concrete slab 1 covered with an insulating layer 2 of, e.g. tarboard, and the insulating layer 4' may comprise a fibrous layer or it may be replaced by two layers 4 and 5 (Figs. 1-6, not shown), of waffle board impregnated with asphalt, and, e.g., wood fibre boards, respectively. The corrugated sheets 3 may comprise hard polyvinylchloride, between 0.5 and 1.5 millimetres thick, or coated metal sheet or foil, and the corrugations may be trapezoidal, as shown, sinusoidal, rounded saw toothed, or deformed trapezoidal in crosssection.
