1,122,039. Making band clamps. H. K. PORTER CO. (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd. 24 May, 1967 [19 May, 1966], No. 22211/66. Heading B3A. [Also in Division E2] A pipe clamp comprises an annular clamping band composed of inner and outer strips 15, 14 of flexible material secured together, the inner strip being corrugated transversely of its length and provided with an aperture 16 in each corrugation adapted to engage abutting flanges on the adjacent ends of two pipes to be clamped and means 17, 19, 21 for circumferentially contracting the clamp around the pipe ends to clamp the flanges together. The band may be of strip steel, the two strips being spot-welded together at intervals along their length.
