Abstract

1,121,663. Panties. F. PARRAVICINI. 4 Oct., 1965 [20 May, 1965], No. 42057/65. Heading A3V. Disposable panty comprising front and back panels 17 and 18 is made of cellulose material and has fabric and elastic bands 10 and 13 or 13a at waist and legs. A gauze crutch piece 15 may be sewn to the panty or there may be a complete gauze lining or a gauze interlining between two layers of cellulose material. Side seams 19, 20 are formed and the edges of panels 17 and 18 are enclosed in fabric covering strips (21), Fig. 3, not shown, in one sewing operation and all seams are preferably sewn in zig-zag stitch. The cellulose material may be reinforced by parallel threads such as threads 34.
