Abstract

1350438 Disposable briefs STRENTEX FABRICS Ltd 27 March 1972 [29 April 1971] 12053/71 Heading A3V A disposable pair of briefs comprises a non- waterproof main body portion having two layers 13, 14 of non-woven fabric and a waterproof. crotch portion 18 having a waterproof middle layer 22 between two non-waterproof layers 19, 20. The crotch portion is secured at the front and rear to the main body portion by stitching which may stitch in the middle layer 22 or the latter may be unsupported in a crotch pocket. The layers 13, 14, 19, 20 may be of viscose rayon fibres and the layer 22 of P.V.C. sheet. A rubber strip 15 at the waist of the briefs grips a wearer's body. In alternative embodiments the main body portion may comprise only a single layer, and the crotch portion may comprise an outer non-waterproof layer and an inner layer of waterproof laminate. Heat sealing or adhesive may be used instead of stitching to secure the parts together.
