Abstract

873,351. Garment pockets. REECE CORPORATION. Dec. 30, 1957, No. 40329/57. Class 141 A garment pocket having a welt-trimmed opening is formed by slitting the main body fabric A to produce a slit B with divergent cuts at its ends, superimposing on the fabric A a folded welt strip H on one side of the slit B and two pocket plies L, M on opposite sides of the slit as in Fig. 3 and stitching the assembled plies together along lines J, P on opposite sides of the slit. The pocket plies L, M are then drawn through the slit and stitched together along their remaining three edges. Specification 873,351 is referred to.
