Abstract
578,025. Fastening strips. RABINOWITZ, L. M. March 31, 1944, No. 6029. [Class 141] In a method of making fastening strips in which strips of material are transversely pleated to form series of pockets, two strips 11 and 12 are transversely pleated, the pleats having equidistant outer and inner edges 13 and 14 respectively, and are secured to a base strip 10 by lines of stitching 16 and 17. The edges of the base strip 10 are turned in and stitched along lines 20, 21 which define the outer edges of the pockets which are completed by a narrow strip 24 sewn at 27, 28. In a modification, a single strip is transversely pleated and stitched to the base. the edges of which are turned in as before, both series of pockets being formed by a narrower strip stitched centrally to the pleated one.
