Abstract

111,921. Hegan, F. J. Dec. 21, 1916. Mounting burners.-A guide for oxy-acetylene cutting-burners comprises a plate 7 provided with an eccentrically arranged burner-carrying tube 11 and rotatably mounted in anti-friction bearings in annuli 1, 4. For cutting holes of different sizes. the plate 7 is replaced by others in which the tube 11 is arranged at different distances from the centre: or, in a modification, the tube 11 is arranged adjustably in a graduated radial slot. Pointed and slotted supports 13 secured to diametrically opposed studs 12 are adapted to engage punch marks on the work for positioning the apparatus. The supports 13 may be replaced by others, Fig. 4, comprising a slotted strip 18 secured to a rod 21 to which is adjustably attached a pointed leg 26 or a pin 22 carrying a block 24 preferably tapered to engage an opening.
