Abstract
1,118,791. Solid fuel stoves; hot water boilers. ALLIED IRONFOUNDERS Ltd. 30 Sept., 1965 [9 Oct., 1964], No. 41267/64. Headings F4A and F4W. A solid fuel stove has a fuel supply hopper 4 opening into one room and a transparent window 12 projecting into an adjacent room for the transmission of radiant heat. A boiler 18 surrounds the combustion space 1 on three sides, tubes 19, 20 connecting the side water spaces, and the hopper 4 divides the flue into a front part 27 with a separate damper 31 regulating the draught through the front of the fire bed to heat a room through the window 12, and a rear part 29 heating the boiler. The flues lead to a single outlet 35 at the top of the stove, controlled by a damper 36. The ashpit door 55, riddling apparatus and damper operating thermostat are all accessible from the room containing the hopper. The adjacent room is also heated by convection air from a jacket 42.
