Abstract
1,118,452. Contacting gases with liquids. C. G. MUNTERS. 12 July, 1965 [10 July, 1964], No. 29459/65. Heading B1R. [Also in Division F4] Gas/liquid contact apparatus comprises superimposed layers of packing material 40 and 10 each made up of vertical corrugated sheets, the corrugations of adjacent sheets of the upper layer being oppositely and obliquely inclined to the horizontal and the sheets of the upper layer extending across the sheets of the lower layer whereby distribution on the lower layer of liquid supplied to the upper layer is improved.
