Abstract

1,118,395. Multi-level boat harbour. R. L. TOBEN. 5 April, 1967 [18 April, 1966], No. 15739/67. Heading B7S. [Also in Division E1] A multi-level boat harbour comprises an upper level or upper levels 16, 17 containing water, means for supporting the upper, level(s) above the water 24 in the harbour area, and elevating means by which a floating vessel can be transferred from the harbour water 24 to the water of an upper level. The elevator means comprises a shaft 19, the wall 20 of which has openings 26, 50, 52 for the passage of said vessel, which openings are closed by hydraulically operated sliding gates. Raising of the vessel is effected by pumping water into the shaft 20 (Fig. 6, not shown), or by means of a watercontaining cab 22 mounted on reciprocating'y driven members 28 for lifting and lowering the cab.
