Abstract

111,741. Barbour, T., and Suffern, W. S. Jan. 3, 1917. Gill boxes. - The fallers A are placed upon the top and bottom slides in contact with one another and are propelled along the slides by cams D, E driven by gearing from lifting and lowering cams F, G carried by an inclined shaft J. The cams F, G act to carry the fallers forward at the same time as they raise and lower them and to allow the remaining fallers in the slide to move forward radually. The cam F is loose on the shaft J and is driven through the bevel gear f<1>. The cam G is keyed to the shaft J and is driven in the opposite direction through the bevel gear g<1>.
