1,114,611. Moulding machines. VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATEL'SKY I PROEKTNO - TEKHNOLOGICHESKY INSTITUTE UGOL'NOGO MASHINOSTROENIYA. 18 Dec., 1964 [19 Sept., 1963], No. 32664/63. Heading B3F. An apparatus for making resin-bonded shell mould parts, comprises a sand-blasting head for blowing moulding mixture into the cavity between pattern halves, means for blowing air into the pattern cavity for cleaning and for applying a pasting agent, and a press for compressing the moulded mixture, the passages 11 in the blow plate 10 being staggered to prevent moulding material falling out between blowing intervals. The apparatus is of the turntable type and after blowing the lower pattern half 9C with the formed mould part is transferred by means A to a press station 2 whereat the mould is compressed between the lower pattern half and a member on the press head corresponding to the upper pattern half. After pressing, the lower pattern half with the mould part thereon is transferred to a curing station 3, thereafter to a removal station 4 whereat the mould part is removed from the pattern half by means incorporating a turn-over device (Figs. 8 and 9, not shown). The sleeve 8 of the blowhead has imperforate walls.
