1,113,036. Burners. DANFOSS A/S. 5 April, 1967 [22 April, 1966], No. 15560/67. Heading F4T. A burner head for gas or liquid fuel consists of a disc-shaped element 1 of ceramic material provided with a central aperature 2 into which projects the nozzle 3 and having distributed over two concentric circles, series 4, 5 of oblique air channels which impart a helical motion to the air. Ignition electrodes 7 are embedded in the ceramic material and a photo-conductive flame detecting element 12 is housed in a perforation 10 closed at the front by a glass filter 11. In modifications the flame is detected by a resistor formed by a silicon carbide ignition filament or by probes which are also spark ignition eletrodes.
