1,112,546. Advertising. E. SCHUMM. 7 April, 1966 [9 April, 1965], No. 15510/66. Heading G5C. [Also in Division A4] In a towel dispenser the feed is operatively connected to an advertising device. Towelling 1, Fig. 1, is manually pulled from roll 2 and passes between feed roll 11 and nip roll 12, roll 11 driving roll 15 which winds up roll 14 of soiled towelling and via chain 44 drives a stepping finger 36 engaging pins 35 on wheel 34 for intermittently rotating a polygonal drum. 30 carrying advertisements viewable through window 86. Spring 40 engages a notch 39 in wheel 34 during a dwell in the drum rotation. The drum may be illuminated and driven by a motor energized on dispensing a towel or the advertisements may be carried on an endless belt illuminated when the towel feed is actuated.
