Abstract
1418122 Ticket dispenser AB TURN-OMATIC 23 Jan 1973 [26 Jan 1972] 3493/73 Heading G4T To dispense discrete lengths of strip (e.g. ticket) material 4 formed with slits or perforation lines defining flaps 6, a dispenser is designed so that when the leading length (ticket) is pulled from the dispensing aperture, the leading flap 6 is displaced from the plane of the strip (the position illustrated in Fig. 1) and the remaining part of the strip adjacent the displaced flap contacts sharpened edges, further pulling separating the leading length (ticket) from the strip and leaving the displaced flapnow the leading end of the leading length (ticket)-in a grippable position. As shown, a member 13, Fig. 2 effects the displacement of the leading flap and the sharpened edges are provided at shoulders 14a, 14b. Member 13 and a member 12 are fast with a holder 1 for a reel of the strip material. A cover 2 for the holder 1 includes a wall 9 cutaway at 10 and in part defining the dispensing aperture. Instead of member 12, a resilient tongue (18, Fig. 3) fixed to the holder 1 may bear against the underside of wall 8 of the cover 2 to frictionally engage the strip. A single moulded part (Fig. 5), equivalent to members 12 (or 18), 13 and 14 may be secured to the holder (Fig. 4). The holder and cover may be arranged to provide the dispensing aperture, cutting edges, &c. near the bottom of the holder (Fig. 6).
