Abstract

Connexions; connexions to carbons.- The cells of a dry battery are connected together by metal strips A, each having a stamped-out tongue C to engage the zinc electrode of one cell, and a perforated disk B to engage the carbon of the adjacent cell. The aperture in the disk B may be in the form of a cross which forms a number of teeth T when the disk B is forced over the carbon. The end terminal G of the battery is formed by a metal strip bent under the bottom of the cell and having a tongue H to engage the top. The terminal F is secured in a similar manner to the strips A.
