Abstract

1,106,154. Pneumatic single-stroke apparatus. INTERNATIONAL BASIC ECONOMY CORPORATION. March 16, 1965, No. 11181/65. Heading F1P. [Also in Division F2] The forward speed of a single-stroke compressed air actuated piston 10 is maintained at a constant slow rate by means of a dashpot piston 22 connected thereto by a rod 24 and slidable in a hydraulic cylinder 12 having at one end a fluid outlet 26 leading to a filter 28, a manually operated reducing valve 14, a three-stage laminar flow capillary tube 16a, 16b, 16c and a line 36 back to the other end of the cylinder 12. The tubes 16a, 16b, 16c are mounted in a temperature-controlled water bath 55 and their outlets 33, 40, 45 are connected through solenoid valves 34, 41, 46 to the line 37 and to branch lines 48, 49, 50 leading to the underside of the control means of valve 14 which may be of the diaphram type thereby maintaining a pressure differential between the ends of the capillary tubes.
