Abstract

1,106,124. Two for one twisters. JAMES MACKIE & SONS Ltd. 21 Oct., 1964 [29 Oct.. 1963], No. 42639/63. Heading DID. A two for one twister of the inflow type comprises a 'balloon guide ring 44 located between the stationary guide eye 2 at the start of the balloon and the package carrying bracket 12 and an outer balloon guide 40 which is preferably cylindrical, surrounding the bracket, the dimensions and positioning of the ring 44 being such that the balloon is necked. Inner balloon rings 42 are also provided at the upper and lower portions of the carrier bracket 12 to prevent the yarn becoming entangled therewith upon stoppage of the spindle. Details of preferred dimensions and positions of the elements of the device are given. Magnetic holding means 16, 18 are provided.
