110,375. Farnsworth, A. W. Sept. 19, 1916. Springs, arrangement of.-A spring suspension for vehicles comprises overlapping quarter-elliptic cantilever springs and auxiliary springs interposed between the cantilever springs and the chassis. In the form shown, two cantilever springs 1, 2 are arranged at each side of the chassis so as to overlap at the centre, their inner ends being pivoted or rigidly connected to the chassis, and their outer ends connected to the axles. Coil springs 6 or pneumatic or india-rubber cushions are interposed between the springs 1, 2 and a perch 4.
