Springs, arrangement of and mounting bodies on; guiding vertical play. - In vehicle suspensions of the kind wherein helical springs are combined with radius rods connecting the axle to the body so as to relieve the spring of lateral strain, the body 4 is supported on the axle 1 by helical springs 3 surrounding rods 2 extending from the axle and passing through the body 4. To relieve the spring of side strains, the axle is connected with the body by pivoted rods 8 placed either to the front or rear of the axle. Springs 5 absorb the shocks due to jolting- The springs 3 may consist of a nest of three helical springs coiled alternately in opposite directions.
