Jet-wheels; reversing.-A jet-wheel A is surrounded by two sets of guide passages, one set c<1>, c<2> being housed in the. section C of the casing and controlled by a reversing - valve H. while the other set d<1>, d<2> is housed in the section D and is controlled by a reversing- valve I, the arrangement being such that, for one direction of working, the valves H, I admit steam to the passages c<2>, d<1>, and for the other direction, the valves H, I open the passages c<1>, d<2>. The steam flows inwards from the blades a and is discharged through passages e in the casing. The valves H, I are moved simultaneously by a double-ended lever h, i. A number of such jet-wheels may be connected in series.
