Abstract

1,100,278. Gas burner. SOC. ANON. LA COUVINOISE. 16 Dec., 1965 [22 Dec., 1964], No. 53484/65. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprises an elongated burner nozzle formed of a bottom part 4 reinforced by longitudinal ribs 5 and a transversely curved top part 6 provided with transverse flame slots 7 and holes 8 adjacent the extremities of the slots from which pilot flames burn and are partly hidden behind elongated outer visors 9 which serve as flame guides. The parts 4, 6 and 9 made of non-rusting sheet metal have complementary outer flanges which are superimposed, Fig. 2 (not shown), welded together, and fixed on an outer flange of a cast iron supply pipe 1 in a gas-tight manner using seal 3. The supply pipe 1 has an oblong outlet opening and is provided with a Venturi-nozzle inlet 2. The burner nozzle contains a grid 11 preventing blow-back and a perforated baffle 12 across its inlet for distributing the gas.
