Abstract

1,235,725. Pilot burners. METAALWARENFABRIEK "INALFA" N.V. 17 Sept., 1968 [27 Dec., 1967], No. 44045/68. Headings F4F and F4T. The main outlet 2 of a pilot burner is supplied with a gas/air mixture via a mixing pipe 1, and is surrounded by a substantially annular auxiliary outlet 5 opening from two auxiliary chambers 3 supplied with gas air mixture through choke openings 4 in the pipe 1. The burner consists of two sheets of metal connected together at their edges 12<SP>1</SP> and having depressions 13 which form a first pipe portion 14, an intermediate pipe piece 15, a pipe piece 16 and the outer boundary of the auxiliary opening 5. Two inner sheets have their edges clamped between the edges 12<SP>1</SP> of the outer sheets and have depressions which form a second mixing pipe portion 20 and the main outlet 2. The auxiliary chambers 3 are formed between the pipe piece 16 and the second mixing pipe portion 20 in which the choke openings 4 are formed. The burner is supported on a plate 24 which also supports a platform 29 carrying a gas supply jet assembly 6. A thermal element 34 is mounted on the plate 24 and the platform 29.
