Abstract

1,098,667. Tobacco pipes. W. FELDER. Dec. 21, 1966 [March 31, 1966], No. 14219/66. Addition to 1,066,780. Heading A2M. A tobacco pipe comprises a stem 1 lined with a metal condenser tube 2 and a mouthpiece 5 with an extension having a blind bore in which is firmly inserted the cylindrical end of a guide body 35. Smoke drawn through the pipe passes through a duct 33 into an annular condensate chamber formed around the body 35, through a narrow annular duct 26 and thence via a second chamber 17 to a duct 18 leading to a central duct 20 in the mouthpiece 5. A belled annular member 30 serves both to centre the body 35 within the tube 2 and to clean the tube 2 on withdrawal of the complete extended mouthpiece 5 from the stem 1.
