Abstract
1,097,346. Drying cabinets. DISHMASTER APPLIANCES Ltd. Jan. 26, 1966 [Jan. 27, 1965; Aug. 18, 1965], No. 3457/66. Heading F4G. A drying cabinet comprises a chamber 4 having an upper hinged lid 3, an air outlet 3a adjacent the upper end of the chamber, and an impeller 21 with its axis vertically disposed mounted below a lower guard screen 10. The impeller causes air to flow through a screened inlet 24 in the base of cabinet to pass over a heater 25 concentrically mounted about the impeller motor 17 and into the chamber 4. A clothes support frame 27 formed by four leg members and a hinged rack 28 are positioned in the base of the chamber intermediate the lid and screen. A timer unit 35 controlled by a knob 37 through a shaft 36 is also provided. The impeller comprises a dished top plate 22 having turbine blades 23 dependant from adjacent the outer periphery thereof and sufficient to create a flow of between 30 and 90 cubic feet per minute for each cubic foot of space in the chamber.
