Abstract
895,358. Hot closets. NORTH WESTERN SPECIALITIES Ltd. Jan. 25, 1961 [Oct. 28, 1959], No. 36565/59. Class 34(1) A hot closet for drying clothes comprises a cabinet having a lower heating element and upper supporting means for the clothes comprising a rack formed from horizontally arranged spaced rods, each of which is pivoted at one end on a common support for upward swinging movement in a vertical plane and each of which is adjustable on the support to vary the distance between adjacent rods. A hot closet 1 has a bar 4 connected across the top of the closet parallel with and adjacent to one side wall, which bar has hinged thereto spaced-apart and parallel rods 5, the free ends of which rest upon a support bar 7 adjacent the opposite side wall of the closet. The rods 5 have holes at one end through which the bar 4 projects to enable the rods to be individually swung up to facilitate excess to a removable grid 8 supported on ledges 9 within the closet, and also to enable the rods to be slid along the rod to vary the distance between adjacent rods. An electric heating element 2 or fan is fitted below an expanded metal guard plate 10 and the closet is closed with a removable lid 11 having ventilation perforations 12.
