Nov. 2, 1916 Wrench-jaw faces and attachments. - Adjustable or fixed jaw spanners provided with removable longitudinally slotted attachments for connecting them into pipe grips have the attachment secured to the spanner by a transverse pin or screw on the rear end thereof. As shown in Fig. 1, the attachment A has an inclined face with ratchet-like teeth and is slotted centrally and longitudinally to engage the shank e and is secured in place by a transverse split-pin f, screw, or other form of pin. For a rigid-jaw spanner, Fig. 2, the attachment is wider than the jaw g and is secured to the jaw by a transverse pin f or screw.
