1,091,274. Load handling pallets. VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A.G. March 2, 1966 [March 5, 1965; April 6, 1965], No. 9227/66. Heading B8H A plastics pallet 1 comprises an upper layer 2 and a bottom layer 3 arranged mirror symmetrically about the median plane of the pallet. Each of these two layers 2, 3 consists of two component members 5, 6 bonded together at their common interfaces 4, preferably by welding. The layers 2, 3 are connected by means of ribs 9 stabilized by a supporting sleeve 10 of plastics or metal. The layers 2, 3 may be produced as integral components by the blowmoulding technique and may be filled with a plastics foam.
