A paint roller comprises a roller support 10 bent to U form, one leg forming a shaft 18 for a paint applying roller and the other leg ending in a securing element 13 having an axial orifice and a paint distributor assembly 3, 4 including a journal 9 and a positioning device 5 for locating the roller support in two predetermined relative positions 180‹ apart about the axis of journal 9. The distributor assembly includes a handle 1, a tap 2, a tube 3 and distributor 4 for applying paint to a surface to be coated adjacent the roller and the roller support can be locked in either of its two positions by nut 15. Additional rollers can be affixed to the assembly by removable mounting means.
