Abstract

1,090,392. Reciprocating pumps and motors. P. HAMMELMANN. Feb. 25, 1965 (Feb. 27, 1964; May 21, 1964], No. 8087/65. Heading F1A. In a fluid-pressure actuated pump which comprises a hollow plunger 8 reciprocating in pump chambers 5 and 6, the plunger reciprocates over a stationary motor piston 9 containing an actuating fluid change-over valve 19. The valve 19 is oscillated by fluid-pressure fed to chamber (34) Fig. 3 (not shown), on either side a segment (35) secured to the valve. The feeding of fluid-pressure to the valve chamber (34) is controlled by spool valves (22 and 23) actuated by the inner faces of the plunger heads. In a further embodiment, Figs. 5 to 7 (not shown) an actuating fluid changeover valve (54) is movable axially within a cylinder formed in the motor piston (9) under the control of a plunger actuated spool valve (69). The pressure fluid may be oil.
