Abstract

1,212,327. Hydraulic motor control circuit. PLASTMASCHINENWERK FREITAL VEB. June 25, 1969, No.32140/69. Heading F1P. A hydraulic motor for initial advance at a relatively high speed under low load followed by slower advance under high load e. g. closure of an injection moulding machine comprises a cylinder 2 divided by a working piston 1 into chambers 12, 13 which former chamber is supplied by a constant volume pump delivering through a line 9, a spool valve 10 and a line 11 and also with fluid exhausting from chamber 13 past a non-return valve 8 and a line 7 leading to line 9 until such time as a control piston 14 carried by the rod 15 of piston 1 uncovers a port 17 through which fluid from chamber 13 is exhausted to a low pressure reservoir 6 via a line 3 and the valve 10, thus relieving back pressure on piston 1 and allowing it to complete its forward stroke at high pressure but at reduced speed. The return stroke of piston 1 is effected at high speed by switching the spool valve 10 so that it connects line 9 to chamber 13 through lines 3 and 4, whilst exhaust from chamber 12 is connected to the low pressure reservoir 6.
