[Also in Division A4] A limit switch for use in an electricallyoperated hospital bed (see Division A4) comprises nuts 142, 143 made of insulating material and mounted to ride lengthwise of a threaded portion of a shaft 109. The nuts are held against rotation in adjusted position by a stationary blade 152 which engages in any one of a number of notches 151 in the flange of each nut. When nut 142 moves to the desired limit to the left it engages a movable contact 147 to break a circuit between this member and a stationary current-carrying member 148 thus preventing further rotation of shaft 109. Similarly nut 143 is positioned to engage a movable electric contact member 145 to break the circuit between member 145 and a stationary current-carrying member 146.
