1,084,790. Air cushion vehicles. BRITISH HOVERCRAFT CORPORATION Ltd. Oct. 20, 1965 [Oct. 22, 1964], No. 43070/64. Heading B7K. A skirt for an air cushion vehicle comprising inner and outer walls 5, 4 attached at their upper ends to the body 2 and connected at their lower ends to form jet-forming nozzles 8, is stabilized by internal tie members 9, 12, 14 which prevent the walls of the skirt from ballooning and thereby maintain an evenhemline and to prevent the nozzles 8 from being deviated from their optimum discharge positions. A means of attaching the ties to the skirt walls is described.
