Abstract

1,251,471. Containers. SOC. FERROVIAIRE INTERNATIONALE DE TRANSPORTS FRIGORIFIQUES INTERFRIGO. 17 April, 1970 [21 April, 1969], No. 18410/70. Heading F4H. A container, which can be mounted on a railway vehicle or a road vehicle, comprises an upper wall 3 which defines with the outer wall a gap which is divided into two passages 5A, 5B by a diagonal partition 7 and a lower wall 21 which is spaced from the lower wall of the container to define therewith a horizontal gap which is divided into two passages 25A, 25B by a diagonal partition 23, extending generally transversely to the partition 7. The walls 3 and 21 abut against opposed side walls 1A and 1B of the container 1, the inner surface of the side walls 1A, 1B having a plurality of vertically extending ribs defining sets of channels 27 and 29 respectively. Air cooled by the conditioner 19 traverses a circuit around the load (shown as arrows f 1 -f 24 ). Valve means may be disposed at the juncture of the end and upper outer wall of the container (f 8 ). If the load is impervious to air, a partition 41 may be disposed on the underside of the upper wall 3, to prevent the air flowing along the paths f 3 and f 9 from intermingling.
