Abstract

1,083,630. Knitting-machines. WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB. Aug. 19, 1966, No. 37299/66. Heading D1C. The draw lever 3 of the draw mechanism of a straight-bar machine is reciprocated by a draw cam 1 and rod 2, Fig. 1, and is provided with an arm 13 mounting a guide block 15 slidable on a guide 14. The guide 14 is supported on an arm 18 capable of pivoting about a point 17 such that when pivoted by a screw 19 in one direction, Fig. 2, the traverse of the lever 3 is increased and when pivoted in the opposite direction, Fig. 3, the traverse of the lever 3 is decreased. The lever 3 may be indirectly coupled to the rod 2, Figs. 4 and 9 not shown and the guide 14 may be angularly adjusted by worm and gear mechanism on pawl and ratchet mechanism controlling a pin and slot mechanism of the arm 18 such that the traverse of the lever 3 is variable by substantially constant amounts.
