Abstract

1,111,797. Knitting-machines. ELITEX, ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 30 Jan., 1967. [31 Jan., 1966], No. 4357/67. Heading D1C. The drive to the segmental gear 13 producing the reciprocatory drive of a circular machine is achieved through a pin 22 secured to one arm of the segmental gear 13 engaging a slot 25 in a gate 23 pivoted at each end to separate gear wheels 7, 7a driven by a further gear 6. The gate 23 is continuously rotated by the gears 7, 7a to impart an oscillatory motion to the segmental gear 13. The arrangement is such that the speed of the cylinder is increased at a greater rate than normal and yet maintained within the maximum critical speed for operation.
