Abstract

1,167,156. Obtaining oscillatory-rotary motion. KYORITSU MACHINERY WORKS Ltd. 16 Dec., 1966 [14 Sept., 1966], No. 56552/66. Heading F2Q. [Also in Division D1] A rotation having a constant component and a cyclic component is given to a shaft 28 from a constantly rotating shaft 39 via a differential arrangement. A disc 15 fast on shaft 39 is slotted to receive a pin 18 which can be adjusted to a fixed position at a desired distance from the shaft. The pin carries a sprocket 20 and has mounted thereon an arm 21. At the other end of arm 21 is a pin 22 on which there is rotatably mounted an arm 23 rotatably mounted at its other end to shaft 28. Pin 22 also carries a pair of gears 24, 26, gear 24 being linked to gear 20 by a chain 25 and gear 26 meshing with gear 27. Thus two motions are transmitted to shaft 28; the first being derived from gear 20 driving chain 25 by its movement about shaft 39 and the second by gear 26 driving gear 27 in its cyclic rocking motion.
