Abstract

Slow-release fertilizer particles comprise a dispersion of a urea-paraffin wax adduct in paraffin or microcrystalline wax. The dispersion may be formed by reacting solid urea with an excess of molten paraffin wax with roller milling to reduce 98% of the urea particles to a size of below 200-400 mesh. It may be aged for a period of at least one month. It may contain 5-99 parts of adduct and 1-40 parts of asphalt based on the free wax. Fertilizer constituents other than urea may be triple superphosphate or potassium chloride or sulphate.ALSO:Slow-release fertilizer particles comprise a dispersion of a urea-paraffin wax adduct in paraffin or micro-crystalline wax.
