A trolley for moving wheeled vehicles in a garage has pairs of pivoted arms 3, 3<SP>1</SP> and 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 1, which are movable, e.g. by hydraulically or pneumatically operated cylinders 7, 7<SP>1</SP>, to extend outwardly of the trolley for engagement with the vehicle wheels, each arm comprising at least two parallel, horizontal rollers 17, 18, Figs. 2 to 5 (not shown), which are tiltable about the axis of a horizontal spindle 12. The rollers 17, 18 are mounted between plates 13, 14 rotatably carried by the spindle 12 which extends from a hub 11, the latter being pivotally mounted on a bolt 10 and resting on a boss 20 having a sloping face for engagement with a sloping face provided on the underside of the hub 11 so that as the arm is moved it is raised thus providing clearance between the roadway and the rollers when the latter are tilted about the spindle 12. The rollers may be tilted by engagement with the vehicle wheel or the plate 13 may have a cam undersurface engaged by a roller 26, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), on the body of the trolley; alternatively, the roller 26 may be provided on the plate 13 and the cam surface on the body of the trolley. The rollers may be tilted back by guides or springs when the arm is moved back inwardly of the trolley. The roller 18 may have a ratchet connection with its spindle, Fig. 8 (not shown), to prevent its rotation when it is engaged with the vehicle wheel. The arms may be moved by a linkage 23 or by a worm and worm-wheel or a pinion and rack connection. The vehicle wheels may be lifted by the arms. The latter may have a further roller provided on the spindle 12 or the rollers 17, 18 may be replaced by a plurality of smaller rollers provided on both sides of the spindle 12.
