Abstract

Portable buildings.-Angle-iron corner posts 11 with internal recesses 12 are applied to a rectangular base-frame 3 and support similar intermediate and top frames 4, 5, 6 which are interconnected by canvas. Turnbuttons 13 hold the whole together, and a roof is formed by two flaps 18 hinged to the top frame. The central edges 19 of these flaps are connected by a ridge-board 24 bearing pairs of tongues 36, 39, the inner ones of which are furnished with turnbuttons 35. The flaps may be supported by removable gable-pieces 20 having feet fitting sockets on the roof-frame 6. A ventilating gap at the centre of the ridgeboard is spanned by a corner-piece 23 having a turning cross arm 28 adapted to engage the under surface of the flaps. Alternatively, as illustrated by Fig. 6, the. roof may consist of flexible material 30 secured to the roof-frame 6 and to a hinged bar 31 on one side of it. A piece of one side of each frame may be removable to accommodate a door-frame 9.
