820,183. Collapsible huts. LUNDSTEDT, M. E. Jan. 25, 1957, No. 2727/57. Class 20(1) A collapsible cabin comprises wall sections 7, 8 and 9 hinged to floor sections 1 and 2, the sections 1 and 2 being hinged along their adjacent longitudinal edges. The hinges between the wall sections and the floor sections are so arranged that the wall sections may be folded inwards to lie below the upper edges of the floor sections, whereupon the floor section 2 may be folded on to the floor section 1 to form a box-like structure as shown in Fig. 1. When in their erected position, the wall sections are secured by corner posts 13 and strips 12, the engagement between them being effected by matching tongues and grooves. A door 5, 6 is provided in one end wall, the part 6 being hinged in the wall section 7 and the part 5 being hinged to the floor section 1, the two parts 5 and 6 being hinged together along a horizontal line level with the top of the floor section 1. Roofing material 11 is stretched over beams extending between the end walls and is fastened to the tops of the wall sections by means, for example, of spring fasteners 20. When the cabin is collapsed, the roofing may be rolled up and stored diagonally in the box-like structure formed by the collapsed cabin.
