A collapsible miniature building of selfsupporting sheet material comprises an exterior shell embodying a floor, side walls 12, and a roof, and interior partitioning 16 (Fig. 4) and hinges (Fig. 5) connecting the above parts which enable them to be folded into parallel relation (Fig. 9) wherein the interior partitioning is automatically folded and unfolded by folding and unfolding the exterior shell. The shell may comprise paperboard and the hinges may be of the kind shown in Fig: 5 wherein the panels e.g. floor panels 24 are connected by flexible material with a small gap between their adjacent edges. Sheet plastics hingesmay also be used. The floor and roof each embody-at least two panels 24, 30, respectively and hinges joining the panels which are parallel to the hinges joining the floor and roof .panels to the walls. The interior partitioning 16 is supported from the walls or the roof and may comprise a longitudinal median wall 38 and transverse wall panels 42. The transverse walls when perpendicular to the floor form walls and when parallel to the floor form ceilings, and may be cut out of the side walls 12, folded upwardly about hinges 44 and connected to the median wall panel 38 by hinges 46 or may be extensions of the median wall panel folded outward and connected to the side wall panels or a combination of these. Extensions 48 of side walls 12 form exterior end walls and are hingedly connected to the panels 40 of the median wall 38. Fig. 1 shows a section view of the folded structure. The roof panels 30 fold downwards and the floor panels 24 fold upwards. Locking means to prevent the structure from folding is constituted by a notch in one edge of a chimney (not shown) at the upper end of the median wall panel.
