Abstract

529,913. Toy buildings. YOUNGER. G. R. May 31, 1939, No. 16059. [Class 132 (iii)] A toy or model house or building constructed of cardboard or all i e d materials, comprises a hollow rectangular unit capable of being collapsed into a flat condition and adapted to constitute the side and end walls of the house, and a separate roof unit of substantially rectangular form provided with inturned flaps 24 extending along its side edges, said flaps being received in slots 25 formed in the end walls and having slots adapted to be engaged by lugs 27 formed on the side walls whereby when the house is assembled the roof locks the wall structure in the erect position. The side walls each have a vertical fold 17 at their mid point to enable the walls to be folded inwardly into a collapsed condition. Chimneys 20 formed from parts of the end walls project through apertures in the roof. A door 18 and windows 19 are provided. The folds may be strengthened by the application of linen or like strips, and the building may be finished in any suitable manner.
