Abstract

204,269. Ross, W. L. Feb. 27, 1923. Portable buildings; garages; summer-houses. -A portable building suitable for use as a summer-house or garage consists of angle-iron stringers and sills 10 with their upstanding flanges cut away at the corners and overlapping each other, and adapted to receive the angle-iron upright 12 which have one flange cut away at the ends and the other flange turned inwards to form a means of securing the whole together by a bolt. The tops of the uprights are adapted in a similar manner to receive top stringers and sills 16, 16<1> which bear the roof structure 17, 18, also formed of angle-irons. The panels are secured in place by inside angles 24, which, for strong structures, have longer flanges than the main angles and are adapted to be secured to strengthening bands 30 placed around the uprights, Fig. 3. The floor structure rest on the flanges of the bottom stringers and sills.
